2009 Film Competition Title Announced
Meniscus films proudly announce their annual 5 minute competition. We will be rolling out the red carpet at the Whitgift theatre in Grimsby on the 14th November; and, as is customary, audience participation will be the order of the night. FREE filmmaking course in Immingham for 11 - 16 Year Olds
A new FREE film making course is being offered in partnership with Blueprint: Film, The Big Lottery and Immingham Youth Centre. The course starts on Friday 21st September and offers a small group of people the chance to partake in either the acting side of the project or the technical side, where you will be trained up in camera operating, directing, sound operating and all the technical skills needed to make a short film. Bon Appetite, a engaging short, that was made by local company Shooting Fish and Blueprint Films is now screening on the internet and in London. First shown at the Meniscus event as part of the arts forum festival 2006, the film was made on a weeks holiday in the south of France - devised, filmed, and edited in the one week.
